Where can I find a 3/8" or 1/4" drive torque wrench that can do 16 inch pounds for the spindle nut? Looking to pay under $50. The craftsman one will only do 25-250 inch pounds.

I ended up buying a Park TW-1 beam type torque wrench for this task. I think there was a few other brands, but the Park was the cheapest :headbang:

Hand tight with the socket is plenty close enough.

The one from harbor freight does 5-80 lbs

I've got a 1/4" Snap-On that goes from 10 to 50 inch-lbs. Maybe a used one? I'm sure it was way over $50 new.

Exactly. No ratchet/torque wrench needed here. Grab the hub nut socket with your hand a give it a twist. No end play in the bearings? Good enough. It's not rocket science.

try renting one
