I was wondering what power steering gear box/pulley/ps pump is interchangable with a 1993 ford ranger xl 2.3l 5 speed

Thanks in advanced

The 93'-97' use the same set up, no mater the engine. If you look at a parts catolog all the numbers are the same.

The box I know spans a wide range of vehicles through the '80- '97 model years

F-150 (thru '96)
F-250
F-350
F-450 (aka F-SUPER-DUTY)
Bronco
Ranger
Explorer (thru '94)
Bronco II
There may be others as well, possibly Econoline vans.

They aren't EXACTLY the same, but close enough.

3rd gens have three bolts, 1st and 2nd have four. They DO line up.

FYI, the four bolt versions are also on at least some Dodge and GM full size trucks. I have the exact same one on my 1972 Chevy.

Huh?? Dodge and GM used Saginaw boxes (or their own stuff). They aren't gonna build their own vehicles using Ford's 'shit'.
The Ford box in question here didn't even exist prior to 1980, so it's not possible that your '72 Chevy came with one (maybe it was retrofitted by a previous owner somehow).

I've never seen a Ford steering box in these vehicles with something other than 3 mounting bolts (both my Gen2 BII and Gen3 Ranger are 100% identical boxes)
