first ranger

Hey everyone I have me a 85 ford ranger xlt and I cant figuar out why it wont turn over. So if any can give me suggestions I would be really greatful. Its a 6 cilinder manual.

Could be several issues, Bro. Battery not strong enough, plugs, wires, eletrical issues. You need to get an owners manual and read up on it. Could be something really simple as well. Got spark? Plugs firing? Etc.etc.

If the starter doesn't seem to be turning over, check the Red/Light Blue wire for 12 volts when the key is on start at the starter solenoid. Easily done with a test light. If the starter is turning the engine over, try a shot of starting fluid and go from there.
