In the instructions it says to mount it centered at either the leading edge or trailing edge of the cab in a pickup.
How picky are they at being mounted on a flat hunk of steel? Is it a big deal like a CB or are they just capitalizing on the most common place on a pickup with an unobstructed view?
Rather than having a cable poking out the door and running halfway across the cab I would prefer to have it going out thru the old shifter hole and zip tied on my rollbar. Nobody would ever know it was there and it would actually be higher than the cab.
I only have 5 days to play with it before I decide it is worth the $$, so while I want a good signal I don't really want to put a bunch of money in it or make it very permanant.
